SoCalGas Ranked Highest in Customer Satisfaction

"Highest in Customer Satisfaction With Residential Natural Gas Service in the Western U.S. among Large Utilities, Two Years in a Row"

Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) has great news to share!

For two consecutive years, we've received the highest customer satisfaction ranking among large natural gas utilities in the Western United States, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2012 Gas Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction StudySM.

The study, which was fielded between September 2011 and July 2012, is based on a random survey of U.S. residential natural gas utility customers. In this study, SoCalGas received a customer satisfaction score of 678, the highest score among the 9 large utilities ranked in the western region.

The J.D. Power and Associates scores for each utility were based on six factors:

  • billing and payment
  • price
  • corporate citizenship
  • communications
  • customer service
  • field service
