Customers Who Have Saved

Here are just a few customers who are saving significant energy and money through the Savings By Design Program:

  • A Sandblasting and Powder Coating Company
  • A sandblasting and powder coating company was increasing its production capacity and contacted The Gas Company’s Savings By Design team to improve the energy efficiency of its metal coating process. The Savings By Design analysis recommended a recuperative waste heat process duct for a more efficient process. The customer received an incentive of $34,477 and is saving 57,000 therms annually, which reduced the company’s gas bill by more than $28,000 per year.*

  • A Paper Packaging Company
  • A paper packaging company was moving into a new facility and expanding its paper manufacturing process. The Gas Company’s Savings By Design team recommended pre-heating the combustion air in the paper drying processes. The recommendation resulted in an incentive of $111,160 and is saving the owner a total of 204,412 therms annually, reducing the company’s annual gas bill by more than $100,000.*

  • A Heat Treating Company
  • A heat treating company wanted to investigate the possible energy saving opportunities for its new salt bath heat treating process. The Savings By Design experts recommended a highly efficient insulation material that is saving the company 17,181 therms annually and more than $8,500 per year in gas costs.*
