Government

Improve Your Energy Efficiency and Save!

Improving the energy efficiency of government and institutional facilities can help reduce operating costs.  Local government programs offer rebates and incentives to tax-payer funded institutions such as cities, counties and school districts to help meet their energy-saving goals.

Rebates for Energy-Efficient Equipment

Rebates are currently available on the following energy-efficient equipment:

Rebates for Solar

solar water heating system captures the warmth of the sun, transfers that heat to water and works with your conventional water heater to reduce energy usage.

Incentives for Energy-Efficient Projects

Incentives are currently available for customized, comprehensive energy-efficient projects, process improvements and equipment replacements.

On-Bill Financing

Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas®) offers zero-interest loans to qualified customers that participate in our energy-efficiency programs.

Benchmarking Your Facility

Benchmarking helps many owners and managers of commercial buildings increase energy efficiency and reduce operating costs, which can also raise property values.  Assembly Bill 1103 requires this disclosure for many commercial buildings beginning July 1, 2013 before they can be sold, leased or refinanced.

Retrocommissioning (RCx)

If you own or operate a commercial building with at least 25,000 square feet and are a customer of SoCalGas and Southern California Edison (SCE®), you could receive an incentive check for reducing your building’s energy use through our RCx program.
You can receive the following incentives for up to 50 percent of total project implementation costs:

  • $0.08 per kilowatt hour saved
  • $100 per kilowatt saved
  • $1 per therm saved

Natural Gas Vehicles for Fleet, Business and Commercial Use

Natural gas is well-suited for fleet vehicles which return to a central facility for fuel. A rapidly developing network of public fueling stations is helping to make CNG for vehicles readily available to anyone.

Seminars & Training

You can attend seminars, offered at no-cost, on a variety of energy-efficient topics and business practices.
