New incentives for energy-efficient home improvements
Through Energy Upgrade California™, incentives of up to $4,500 are available to Southern California Gas Company® (SoCalGas) and Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) residential customers with detached single-family homes who complete qualifying energy-saving home upgrade projects. Each home's needs are unique, so a variety of upgrades are available to help you decide what's best for you and your home. In addition to increased comfort, completing home upgrades may also reduce your monthly utility bills.1
Basic Upgrade package
Get $1,000 in incentives when you complete this package of projects:
- Air sealing
- Attic insulation
- Duct test and seal
- Low-flow showerhead with, or in addition to, thermostatic shut-off valve control
- Combustion Safety Test
Advanced Upgrade package
Get up to $4,500 in incentives when you achieve a specified reduction2 in your home’s energy consumption by completing the following:
- Measures in the Basic Upgrade package
- Wall Insulation
- Proper sizing of hot water system and heating and cooling system
- Energy efficient windows, cool roofs and other permanently affixed measures
Energy savings will be based on a modeling simulation performed by the participating contractors. This consists of a comparison of your home's energy/thermal usage prior to and following the completion of package improvements.
