Overview of the Direct Assistance Program (DAP)

The Gas Company offers no-cost weatherization and furnace repair or replacement services for qualified limited-income customers.

• Ceiling insulation
• Door weather-stripping
• Caulking
• Low flow shower heads
• Water heater blankets
• Evaporative cooler covers and A/C covers
• Switch and outlet gaskets and covers
• Pipe insulation
• Faucet aerators
• Minor repairs to exterior doors and/or windows
• Energy Education
• Furnace repair or replacement services (homeowners only)

Household Income Guidelines
Effective June 1, 2007 to May 31, 2008

Number of persons in household 1 or 2 3 4 5 6
Total yearly household income no more than $29,300 $34,400 $41,500 $48,600 $55,700
For each additional person in your household add $7,100

* ALL income -- taxable and non-taxable -- including but not limited to child support, spousal support, disability or veteran’s benefits, rental income, Social Security, pensions and all social welfare programs before any deductions are made.
