Scheduling Your Fumigation

Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) strives to provide you the best service possible. Please help us do so by acknowledging the following guidelines:

Scheduling Fumigation Close Orders

  • A minimum of two (2) business days' notice is required prior to the requested date to close gas service for fumigation. Large meters and multiple meters in one location may require additional time.
  • A close order may need to be rescheduled to a second workday, when the company does not have access to the meter/property or a wrong address was provided. Safe access to the gas meter is required to close gas service.
  • The gas meter will be closed between 7:00 A.M. and 11:30 A.M. on the scheduled close date.
  • Close requests received on a Thursday or Friday may be scheduled for the following Monday; or Tuesday if the following Monday is a holiday.
  • Close requests received on a Saturday or Sunday may be scheduled for the following Tuesday; except Holiday weekends which will be scheduled for the following Wednesday.
  • Requests received after 5:00 pm (any given day) may be processed the next business day.
  • We will return a confirmation indicating we have received and processed your request.

Scheduling Fumigation Restore Orders

  • A minimum of one (1) business day notice is required for restoration of gas service. 
  • The restore date may be scheduled for the same day of the tent removal or for a later date as instructed by the customer’s fumigation company.
  • Requests to restore gas service during a specific time frame are subject to schedule availability.
  • The re-entry notice must be verified by the field technician at the time of restore.
  • Restore orders require safe access to the gas meter and entry into the home/unit/building in order to turn on the gas meter and service the gas appliances.
  • We will return a confirmation indicating we have received and processed your request.
  • Please inform your customer to call (800) 427-2200 for additional scheduling needs.

2013 Holiday Schedule

No Fumigation Orders will be scheduled on the following dates:

  • New Year's Day (Observed) - Tuesday, January 1, 2013
  • Memorial Day - Monday, May 27, 2013
  • Independence Day, Thursday, July 4, 2013
  • Labor Day - Monday, September 2, 2013
  • Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, November 28, 2013
  • Christmas Day - Wednesday, December 25, 2013

Only Fumigation Restore Orders (NO fumigation close orders) will be scheduled on the following dates:

  • Martin Luther King Day - Monday, January 21, 2013
  • President's Day - Monday, February 18, 2013
  • Veteran's Day - Monday, November 11, 2013
  • Day after Thanksgiving - Friday, November 29, 2013
  • Christmas Eve - Tuesday, December 24, 2013

Saturday Restore Orders will be scheduled after 10:00 am

2014 Holiday Schedule

No Fumigation Orders will be scheduled on the following dates:

  • New Year's Day (Observed) - Wednesday, January 1, 2014
  • Memorial Day - Monday, May 26, 2014
  • Independence Day, Friday, July 4, 2014
  • Labor Day - Monday, September 1, 2014
  • Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, November 27, 2014
  • Christmas Day - Thursday, December 25, 2014

Only Fumigation Restore Orders (NO fumigation close orders) will be scheduled on the following dates:

  • Martin Luther King Day - Monday, January 20, 2014
  • President's Day - Monday, February 17, 2014
  • Veteran's Day - Tuesday, November 11, 2014
  • Day after Thanksgiving - Friday, November 28, 2014
  • Christmas Eve - Wednesday, December 24, 2014

Saturday Restore Orders will be scheduled after 10:00 am

Report Any Pipe Damage

Evacuate the area and from a safe location, call SoCalGas at

1-800-427-2200

to report any pipeline damage. No damage is too small to report.
