Central System Natural Gas Tankless Water Heater Rebate
Get a rebate of up to $8 per mBtu on central system natural gas tankless water heaters. Water heater must not be used tor industrial purposes, water heater must replace existing gas equipment. Water heater for pool or spa does not qualify. Water heater may be used for space and water heating, or water heating only.
In-Dwelling Natural Gas Storage Water Heater
Get a $300 rebate on natural gas storage water heaters for inside dwelling with an energy factor (EF) of 0.67 or greater or uniform energy factor (UEF) of 0.64 or greater. Natural gas water heaters cost less to operate and recover faster than their electric counterparts.
In-Dwelling Natural Gas Tankless Water Heaters
SoCalGas is offering INCREASED rebates on pool heaters installed at qualifying multifamily properties.
Get a rebate of $5 per mBtu on qualifying pool heaters
Rebates up to $2,500 per pool heater
Thermal efficiency of new pool heater must be 84% or higher

Effective January 1, 2013, applications for HVAC equipment (central furnaces, wall furnaces, etc.) now require an applicable permit number be listed on the application, along with a contractor and customer signature verifying the correct permit was obtained.

A $75 rebate is available for Energy Star Certified Smart Thermostat.
Note: Smart thermostats enrolled in the Southern California Edison (SCE) Save Power Days or other joint utility smart thermostat programs with SoCalGas, do not qualify for a mail-in rebate.
