Through dedicated resources, transition support, and the leadership of our VALOR employee resource group, we help veterans build meaningful careers and stay connected to a strong community when they return from active duty.

VALOR (Veterans Advancing Leading and Optimizing Results) Employee Resource Group

Our commitment to veterans is strengthened through VALOR, SoCalGas’s employee resource group dedicated to supporting military service members, veterans, their families, and the allies who stand with them. Open to all employees, VALOR fosters community, connection, and leadership development across the company. The group provides mentorship, networking opportunities, volunteer initiatives, and ongoing advocacy to ensure every veteran feels valued and equipped to grow their career at SoCalGas. VALOR’s core objectives are:

  • Sharing our career opportunities with veterans and transitioning military service members.
  • Supporting smooth onboarding for newly hired veterans and active-duty employees.
  • Building cultural awareness and development to enhance understanding of military-affiliated experiences across the organization.
  • Strengthening community partnerships with veteran organizations, veteran-owned businesses, and local programs.
