We are proud to introduce our off-hour shift crews, a new initiative that reinforces our commitment to our customers to enhance and improve our emergency response times and non-emergency incident response. You may notice SoCalGas employees working beyond traditional office hours to assess:
- Emergency Repairs
- Storm & Disaster Response
- Non-emergency safety enhancements
To collaborate during unplanned community events, SoCalGas:
- Assesses the situation.
- Meets with First Responders.
- Coordinates necessary assistance with First Responders.

Non-emergency safety enhancements
SoCalGas employees may perform non-emergency safety enhancements including:
Requesting access to your natural gas meter for routine maintenance inspections.
Performing routine maintenance on meter boxes located on public sidewalks and natural gas valves on public streets.

How to identify an after-hours SoCalGas employee
To keep customers and employees safe, please remember these safety tips:
Authorized SoCalGas employees will be in uniform with our company logo.
All SoCalGas employees on company business are required to carry a SoCalGas ID badge.
SoCalGas employees will never ask for payments during home visits.
