Community Notifications are issued when SoCalGas reports a release of materials to state agencies.
|February 25, 2021||At approximately 5am this morning, there was an elevated reading on the fence-line methane monitoring system at the Aliso Canyon natural gas storage facility. The reading, on Monitor number 6, was related to a brief release of natural gas that occurred earlier this morning during routine maintenance on compressor equipment. There are no safety concerns related to the brief release of natural gas, and SoCalGas has received no reports of odors reaching the community. There are 8 fence-line monitors along the facility’s border with the community. Data from the monitors is updated in near-real time and made available to the public.|
