Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer
Gillian Wright is senior vice president and chief customer officer for Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas), a Sempra regulated utility. As chief customer officer, Wright oversees the integrated delivery of services to all of SoCalGas’s 5.8 million residential, commercial and industrial customers, as well as customer programs for energy efficiency and customer assistance, and clean transportation services.
Previously, Wright was chief human resources, administrative and environmental officer of SoCalGas where she oversaw the SoCalGas human resources, fleet, facilities, environmental services, supply management and logistics organizations. Prior to that, she was vice president of customer services.
Since joining SoCalGas in 1999, Wright has held increasingly responsible management roles in regulatory affairs, and customer service. During her career she has held a variety of responsibilities for SoCalGas including regulatory management, business and market development, biofuels development, and gas procurement and carbon management for SoCalGas. Prior to joining SoCalGas, she held a variety of positions in energy and economic consulting.
Wright is a member of the board of the California State University Foundation, LA Family Housing and the Western Energy Institute. Wright holds a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Reed College.
