Sara Mijares

Sara Mijares is vice president and controller for Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas), a Sempra regulated utility.

Mijares joined SoCalGas in 2020 and was previously vice president of accounting and finance and assistant controller. Prior to joining SoCalGas, she held various roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP since 2003.

Mijares is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science from Loyola Marymount University in accounting. Mijares is on the Board of Regents and Board of the Latino Alumni Association at Loyola Marymount University and on the Mission Advancement Committee at Verbum Dei High School.
